Responsible AI, engineered

Ship AI you can stand behind.

comely.software is an engineering studio for teams putting AI-built code into production. We review what you've built, restructure it, and make it secure, scalable, and safe to deploy, then leave you the tools to keep it in shape yourself.

001 / THE WORK

Four things we do, every engagement.

Code written with AI ships fast but is rarely production-ready: no structure, gaps in security, no visibility into what it does. We take you through the same four stages until the code is safe to deploy and maintain.

  1. 01

    Review

Read the code as it is

We go through the code, the dependencies, and the places the AI cut corners. You get a written picture of what you actually have: what is solid, what is fragile, and what to fix first.

Code · dependencies · weak points
  2. 02

    Restructure

We turn the tangle into modules

AI code grows fast and fused into one mass. We split it into modules with clear boundaries, so it can be tested, changed, and extended without a domino effect.

    Modules · boundaries · testability
  3. 03

    Harden

    Secure, scalable, ready for production

We verify security, set up backups, check the system holds under load, and put in a deployment that won't take production down.

    Security · backups · scalability · deployment
  4. 04

    Handover

We leave you the visibility and tools to run it yourself

We put in metrics and observability so you can see what the system does in production. And we leave you the tools and skills to keep the code in shape yourself, with no dependency on us.

    Metrics · observability · tooling
002 / THE ENGAGEMENT

Start with the Review. What happens next is your call.

You buy the Review first, nothing larger. You come out with a clear picture of the code and a quote for the rest, then you decide whether we carry on. If we do, we restructure and harden the code alongside your engineers and hand it back so you can run it without us. How long it takes depends on what you bring us.

  1. 01

    Scope

A working call to map what you’ve built and agree what "good" means before anything starts. You leave knowing whether the Review is worth your time.

  2. 02

    The Review

The one stage you buy on its own. The written picture you come away with is one you can take to a board: what is solid, what is fragile, where the security and production risks are, what to fix first, and a quote for the rest. Evidence, not a sales pitch.

  3. 03

    You decide

Take the report and stop here, or give us the go-ahead. There is no retainer and nothing to cancel. We carry on only if the Review convinced you it is worth it.

  4. 04

    We deliver, alongside you

We restructure, harden, and prepare the code for production, working with your engineers rather than in a black box. You see the work as it lands in your repo, not only at the end.

  5. 05

    Handover

We leave you the metrics, the tooling, and the skills to keep the code in shape yourself. The goal is a team that does not need us again, not a dependency.

003 / PRINCIPLES

The standards we hold every system to.

  • On transparency

We don't ship what we can't explain.

If no one can say why the system produced an answer, it is not finished. Every decision path we touch leaves a trace you can read back.

  • On evidence

    We measure before we trust.

We measure code health with tools: static analysis, tests, CI metrics. Instead of "looks fine", you get numbers you can see, and they catch the problem before it reaches production.

  • On reliability

We build for production, not for show.

Models make mistakes, and they often cut corners. We find the weak points before they do damage, and we limit both the risk and the blast radius of failure.

004 / WHO IT'S FOR

Who this is for.

  • You shipped fast with AI (Cursor, Copilot, Claude) and now real users depend on what you built.

  • You're past the prototype and need it to hold up in production, not just demo well.

  • You inherited a largely AI-written codebase and have to own what happens to it next.

  • You want a second read before you scale it or hire a team around it.

005 / CONTACT

Have something in production you'd like a second read on?

Tell us what you've built and what's worrying you. We'll reply with an honest take on whether a review is worth your time. No pitch deck, no obligation.
